SUMMARY: Accurately receives, stores, issues, transfers and safely handles aircraft parts, standards, tools, equipment, kits and general supplies. Responsible for meeting specific individual customer material handling requirements. Provides flexible support to various areas within the Material group. Works under general supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties include the following items:
  • Provides timely customer service for aircraft parts to all internal and external customers.
  • Unloads and conveys materials onto pallets, vehicles, racks, and shelves by hand or with the use of appropriate equipment, including installation of strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Completes necessary computer and paperwork transactions, including customer computer entries (if required) and customer tag reviews, to correctly account for material movement.
  • Researches discrepancies to ensure prompt resolution and implements corrective action.
  • Distributes and conveys paperwork, material and parts to and from storage or work sites to designated areas.
  • Assists in expediting AOG parts from Receiving Inspection to final work area.
  • Processes material returns (RECAP) and customer off-unit shipping requests.
  • Assists customers with purchasing status. Relay to mechanics and customers shipping information and confirm arrival of parts.
  • Runs reports for all shop work orders awaiting parts.
  • Assists in the inventory of customer and ATS parts and materials, including manifest preparation for parts assignments.
  • Performs daily housekeeping duties within area and helps maintain a safe working environment.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Support Material Coordinators as necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Job Responsibilities
Marshall aircraft during arrival and departure

Material Handler/ Logistics

  • Performs all entries to the existing databases supporting bond room operations on Government Contracts

  • Monitor Due-Outs and follow up on order status. Build kits for engines undergoing maintenance
  • Review engine and module work packages for open requisitions and complete mark for changes prior to clearing documentation i.e. work package for asset serviceability

  • Previous Crib / Bond Room / Military Stores experience
  • Strong communication skills Work overtime when required
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as required
  • Must have held a secuirty clearance previously

Picking Responsibilities
The picking functions include but are not limited to: using a gas or electric powered forklift to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands. Associates must efficiently and accurately pick products and stage in the appropriate areas. Associates will stack, package, band, shrink wrap, and label product(s) as determined by client requirements. All picking functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.

Quality Control Responsibilities
The quality control functions include but are not limited to: using the appropriate documentation to ensure that all products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly. Associates will verify that products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies. Associates will stack, package, shrink wrap, and label product(s). All quality control functions will be processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.

Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance
  • All associates are responsible for executing all safety protocols and will accomplish all job tasks in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Associates are responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility. Associates must also maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area, and assist in security of the warehouse.
  • Associates will comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/ MSDS Standards.
Equipment Operation
  • In performing assigned duties the equipment used can include but is not limited to: sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker,or pallet jack.
  • Associates are responsible for the upkeep of equipment and reporting of equipment problems.
  • On a daily basis, associates will inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
  • Associates will operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
Maintenance
  • Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
Other Duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must fill out all paperwork correctly
  • Must maintain acceptable attendance in accordance with policy
  • Must meet productivity standards
  • Must meet error ratio standards
  • Must complete training for Inbound and Outbound operations

QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED)
Computer Skills
Some experience with RF technology is preferred.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have at least 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
  • For applicable positions, must have prior forklift operator experience.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-pace work environment.
Language Skills
  • English (reading, writing, and verbal).
  • Basic reading and writing skills required.
Mathematical Skills
  • Basic to Intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
  • Current or past material handling certification may be required on specific types of equipment based on the nature of the business.
