 Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains a schedule as set forth by the company. The pilot should be prepared to occasionally serve extra duty shifts when called upon, due to the absence of other pilots for vacation, sick leave, etc.
  • Ensures aircraft readiness for flight dispatches, these items to include, as described in the appropriate manuals, but not limited to:
    • All FAR requirements 
    • All REACH requirements
    • Aircraft cleanliness duties
    • All flight crew requirements
  • Accurately completes, in entirety, all required paperwork duties, i.e., duty shift change form, load manifests, duty/time sheets, all within scheduled due dates.
  • Continues in educational betterment, e.g., computer training, ground training and flight training.
  • Ensures that any and all pertinent information about flight operations will be disseminated to his/her shift change pilot and/or disseminated through the Company Communications Board per policy.
  • Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Attends meetings when required, and is available for training and check-flights outside of normal duty shift rotation.
  • Upholds current company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties during scheduled shift as requested by Director of Operations or Chief Pilot.
  • Maintains safety as the primary concern.

During the 13-week deployment period, serves as the Team Chief of a three-instructor Huey II Ground School (H2GS) Technical Assistance Filed Team (TAFT). Serves as the SAG Senior Advisor. The Huey II Senior Pilot / Team Chief will train and evaluate foreign aircrews on the Huey II helicopter (non-flight related training). Advises and assists foreign aircrews on unit training, standardization, and Huey II tactical employment, anbd Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) development. Requirements:
* Former U.S. Army Aviation Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 153B (UH1) (or other 153-series Instructor Pilot), or other military service equivalent, with experience in the Huey II or UH-1H.
* Must be qualified as an instructor examiner.
* Qualified Huey II pilot with no less than 3000 total pilot hours and 500 Huey II or UH-1H pilot hours.
* Previous experience in preparing, executing, supervising, and evaluating Helicopter training programs, including scenario development, orders preparation, and training activities scheduling.
* Must have experience in flight instruction in terrain flight, tactical employment, , and multi-ship operations incorporating Current Operating Environment (COE) Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP).
* U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) or other military service trained Instructor Pilot.
* Previous experience conducting aircraft fielding. Education:
* Associates Degree or equivalent. Certificates:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 * Operates their assigned aircraft in a safe and
   efficient manner, in strict compliance with Era
   Operational standards and all applicable
   regulations;
 * Places safety and customer service at the forefront
   in everything they do, both inside and outside the
   aircraft;
 * Maintains situational awareness throughout the
   entire operational region with respect to weather
   conditions, NOTAMs, sea state and customer offshore
   facility status;
 * Manages passenger movements, aircraft movements,
   briefings and baggage loading to ensure safety and
   compliance;
 * Completes necessary flight planning paperwork,
   preflight, fueling and oversight of manifesting to
   ensure compliance;
 * Maintains with accuracy both electronic and paper
   records to include journey logs, personal flight and
   duty sheets, and aircraft technical logbook times;
 * Reports all aircraft mechanical irregularities by
   entering them in the aircraft paper and electronic
   technical log and ensures aircraft is airworthy
   before, during and after all flights;
 * Facilitates communications with the customer and
   ensures Era is represented in a professional manner;
 * Primarily works in the GOM offshore region, but
   remains available for dispatch to Alaska or other
   domestic or International assignments in accordance
   with business needs;
 * Stays up to date on all Era operational and safety
   procedures; and
 * Complies with other duties and assignments as
   determined by the Lead Pilot/ GOM Operations Manager
   / Chief Pilot or Director of Operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 * Applicants applying for this position are required
   to meet the minimum requirements as outlined by (14
   CFR 135.243);
 * Each applicant will be required to complete the
   position’s screening questionnaire to determine
   eligibility for consideration;
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills
   required;
 * Must be organized and be able to work with a large
   and varied workload;
 * Must possess strong interpersonal skills to work
   effectively within a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to obtain a 1st class medical required;
• 1 Year in the Offshore Oil and Gas environment
preferred;
• ATP Preferred;
• 1,500 hours total time preferred; and
• 1,000 hours PIC time preferred.
