RAMM Aerospace now offers frameless seat cushions for the Bell 206/407 aircraft. The HeliFab FAA supplemental type certificate SR09522RC eliminates the 206/407 seat frame entirely for all forward-facing passenger seats and will be available for all seating positions in the near future. TCCA/EASA approvals are pending.

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) awards the certification of the increased maximum take-off weight (MTOW) for the H145. With this enhancement, the helicopter can carry an extra 50 kg, raising the MTOW to a total of 3.7 metric tons. It will be available for customers in early 2016. As the improvement does not require any structural modifications or additional equipment, it will not cause extra costs for the operators.

Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announces today the delivery of the Bell 407GXP configured for Helicopter Emergency Medical Services to Air Methods (Nasdaq: AIRM). Garmin announces installation of its GNC 255 NAV/COM and GTR 225 COM series is easier and more cost-effective for European-registered helicopters. This certification reduces installation time and the cost associated with the installation of the GTR/GNC radios in a wide variety of helicopter types in Europe. Additionally, Helicopter operators are offered an economical solution to meet the requirements of 8.33 kHz channel spacing, which is required under the Single European Sky (SES) initiative by December 31, 2017.
