Quality Assurance/Flight Inspector
Performs the inspection of demonstrator and production aircraft for functional operation and conformance to government and company standards and specifications. Inspects the installation and operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft. May perform preflight and post flight inspections in accordance with standard procedure on flight-proven aircraft. May inspect any adjustments, repairs, or modifications made on the aircraft. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.*Job Description We are currently seeking qualified applicants for Helicopter Flight Inspectors located in Patuxent River, MD The Flight Inspector shall: Be responsible for ensuring aircraft maintenance complies with quality and safety of flight standards. Participates in implementation of quality control programs, preparing training manuals and quality guidelines, Inspect and sign off on all work performed and accomplished by the SSSI Team. Inspect aircraft parts/components and materials during their assembly, installation, and adjustment phases to insure that the workmanship and materials conform to the aircraft manufacturers specifications in accordance with proper maintenance procedures, methods, practices operations and safety. Assist in coordinating all maintenance support services that will be required to minimize aircraft down time. Assist with planning and development of all maintenance efforts required to meet the work schedule. Ensure compliance with the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) program. Ensure compliance with the Tool Control program.
Must adhere to all company and customer EH&S policies and regulations. Technical School or Comparable military training acceptable. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SSBI (Single Scope Background Investigation) security clearance. Must be willing to relocate at the needs of the SAS Field Service Operations.
